On the morning of October 1, XMU Xiang’an Campus held a flag-raising ceremony in the South Square of Dewang Library in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Chen Guang, Assistant President of XMU, Director of Administration Committee of Xiang’an Campus, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Liu Junjie, Deputy Director of Administration Committee of Xiang’an Campus, presided over the ceremony.
With the majestic national anthem “March of the Volunteers”, the bright Five-starred Red Flag rose slowly. Under the national flag flying in the wind, the students recited the poem “Taking on our Responsibilities and Building a Stronger Country”, showing the pioneering spirit of the teachers and students of Xiang’an campus.


In his speech, Chen Guang pointed out that Xiamen University, which is of the same age as the Party, was born for the country. Xiang’an Campus, as an important base for the training of innovative talents in emerging disciplines and applied disciplines, should thoroughly study, publicize and implement the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the guiding principles of the National Education Conference. The new thoughts, new perspectives and new statements for further deepening reform comprehensively should be deeply grasped and the construction of an ecological, cultural, smart, healthy and safe campus should be actively promoted. He hoped that all teachers and students would always be loyal to the party and love our country, keep “the Top Priorities of the Country” in mind, continue writing promising new chapters with achievements.
